Master Teachers: Michele Steckler & Diane Wondisford

Saturday, September 26

10am-2pm

Do you have an innovative idea for music-theatre that you want to produce? This class gives you the nuts and bolts on how to move that idea from page to stage.

This class is designed by two producers who have experience working with a wide range of artists, including composers, writers, directors, choreographers, puppet designers/makers, designers, videographers.  This course will provide useful insights to current producers, aspiring producers, and artists producing their own work, from experimental to commercial, using venues of all shapes and sizes.

Michele is part of the creative team at Disney Theatrical, and has helped to bring productions such as The Lion King and The Little Mermaid to the stage.  Michele’s vast production experience includes her work as the production stage manager of many Music-Theatre Group productions.

Diane, the Producing Director of Music-Theatre Group, is celebrating 29 years with the organization, having produced scores of new work during her tenure.  She most recently produced

Douglas J. Cuomo’s Arjuna’s Dilemma, which premiered at BAM’s Next Wave Festival last November. She is currently working with Nico Muhly and Stephen Karam on their new opera,

Dark Sisters, a co-production with Gotham Chamber Opera & Opera Company of Philadelphia.
