JOHN DIPINTO (music director)


John DiPinto most recently was musical director, arranger and orchestrator for the NYMF presentation of the new musical Trav’lin, featuring the songs of composer J.C. Johnson. Broadway musician credits include: Footloose[title of show], and Victor/Victoria.  Off-Broadway:  Langston in Harlem, Nor‘mal, Streakin'!, Summer Of '42, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin.  Regional: The Blackamoor Angel at Bard Summerscape, Songs For A New World at George Street Playhouse, and The Honky Tonk Angels at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. With Music Theatre Group: Golden Motors and The Escape Artist


As an actor/singer John has appeared in Oil City Symphony, Pump Boys And Dinettes, Smoke On The Mountain, and A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The Ukraine.  He performs as half of a vocal duo with singer Mary Foster Conklin, and appears regularly in the Renegade Cabaret, now occupying its spiffy new digs: a fire escape on 14th Street. John’s environmental show Kid Power And The Planet Protectors, for which he composed the music, is currently touring schools across the country.
